front page news.

In celebration of Father's Day '10, the fam and I went to a restaurant in Little 5 Points called Front Page News (Dad's pick!). My dad was the only one who had been there before but we're always down to try new things, and Little 5 rarely disappoints. Proving this yet again, Front Page News was AWESOME. The atmosphere alone is enough of a reason to go, and the food was nothing short of great. Our order included the buffalo chicken sandwich, blackened salmon salad, steak wedge salad, and grilled chicken tenders. If you've never been there, check. it. out. And soon.

Sooo Mary Corder's 20th birthday is just around the corner (August 8) and we are planning on going to NYC for what will be her 3rd New York birthday celebration! She went for her 13th and then again for her 18th (on 08/08/08.. crazy!). We want to stay in SoHo this time since that's our favorite area to shop.

In January we went for my sweet sixteen and had a blaaast! My favorite pics:

This past April I traveled with a group of fellow students from my school to Kingston, Jamaica on a mission trip. I'll never forget what I saw, the unconditional love shared with me, the fact that I realized just how big the world is while there, or the children that touched my heart. A couple days ago, Mary Corder and I decided to update my room. Curtains, paintings, frames, and re-arranging the furniture were included in the redecorating. But, our favorite addition would have to be the mirror my sister painted to hang on my wall. With John Mayer's new album Battle Studies playing on my speakers, we got in touch with our artistic side, and here are some pictures from the evening..

So, this is my first blog. Can't say how long I will keep it up- I've never been one for journals or diaries- but I'll try my best. I figure Christmas break is a good time to start something new..

My sister, Mary Corder, and I went to Border's today in hopes of bringing home a new and intriguing novel to start, but somehow, even in the midst of the huge ocean of literary options that is Border's, we were unsuccessful. However, we will be back soon to pick up Nicholas Sparks' The Last Song when it arrives in it's paperback form.
