free people clothing is having a contest on instagram to see which free people fan posts the cutest picture of themself wearing a current fp product. the winners will be posted on free people's instagram fridays at 4pm. naturally, seeing that it was currently 2pm on friday, i jumped at the chance to dress up in my newest and favorite free people finds (the tube top and black shorts)! worth a shot, right?!

old photo albums.

spent hours going through old family photo albums today.... realized just how appreciative i am of the ability to re-live your past and learn about your family through old photographs. 

my other half.

my very best friend (she also happens to be my sister) just moved to nashville for teach for america (which, might i add, has about an 11% acceptance rate out of thousands of applicants - my sister is a rockstar!), and as immensely proud of her as i am, i cannot help but feel like something is missing this summer not having her around. however, so many children will be forever inspired after having encountered her, so i feel confident she is in exactly the right place. 

....and if she happens to meet and marry billy currington while she's there, well then that's just an added bonus ;-). 

i love you, sissy, and i'm so beyond proud of you and all that you're doing.

 thanks to a very thoughtful and generous graduation check from my next-door neighbor, i am the proud new owner of this beauuutiful canon camera!!! :-) i've been dying for one for quite some time now which makes me love it even more. i cannot wait to tote it around this summer!
